- Groups (e.g., Trip, Roommates, Couple, Family, Project)
- Group members/collaborators and invite codes (where applicable)
- Expenses (amounts, currency, date, category/type, notes/description)
- Participants and split details (equal, percentage, fixed amount)
- Payments and settlement records (who paid/received, amount, date)
- Receipts/photos you attach to expenses
- In-app group chat messages (where available)
c. Device and Usage Information
We collect device-related data for security, diagnostics, and analytics, such as:
- Device model and operating system
- IP address
- App usage statistics (e.g., feature interactions)
- Crash logs and diagnostic data
d. Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications related to the App, such as:
- Expense updates (created/edited)
- Group collaboration changes
- Settlement/payment updates
- General app alerts
You can manage notification preferences in your device settings.
e. Images / Receipts
Receipt images and other attachments you upload are stored securely in Firebase Storage.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide core App functionality (expense tracking, splitting, settlements, multi-currency support)
- Authenticate and manage user accounts
- Enable collaboration within groups (sharing expenses, balances, activity)
- Deliver push notifications

- Display AdMob banner ads (non-personalized where required by law)
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Your data may be shared in the following cases:
- With other users you choose to collaborate with in a group (e.g., shared expenses, balances, receipts you attach, and activity history visible to group members)
- With service providers (e.g., Firebase/Google) to provide authentication, database, storage, messaging, and analytics
- If legally required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect rights and safety (e.g., to investigate abuse, enforce terms, or respond to security issues)
4. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services:
- Firebase (Google LLC): Authentication, Firestore (database), Storage, Messaging, Analytics/Crash reporting (as enabled)
- Google Sign-In: Optional sign-in method
- AdMob (Google Mobile Ads): Displays banner advertisements
These services may collect device identifiers and app usage data. Please refer to their respective privacy policies for more information.
5. Advertising
We use Google AdMob to display small banner ads. Depending on your location and consent status, you may be shown:
- Personalized ads (if consented where required)
- Non-personalized ads (by default in GDPR regions or where required by law)
You can manage ad personalization settings via your Google account or your device/app settings.

We retain your information as long as your account is active or as needed to:
